Soft hues are your spring and summer staple. Injecting doses of colour whilst still maintaining elegant subtlety, they’re perfect for the warmer days ahead. Pastels are timeless.
When you think of your mellow yellow, dusty pink, baby blue or mint green, we see them pop up season after season on runways. So versatile, it’s all about how you decide to style these beautiful shades. Whether you go for a monochrome or tonal look, mix pastel shades up or combine with your classic neutrals, you’re bound to end up looking effortlessly chic.
What goes with pastel colours?
Like we mentioned before, it’s free reign when it comes to mixing any pastel shade with neutral ones. Beige, mocha and off-whites are a perfectly warm choice when it comes to styling during the summer.
When it comes to colour blocking or mixing up your pastels, we like to follow these rules.
- Pastel Blue: we love to mix our blue’s with dusty rose, lilac, periwinkle, coral, grey, nudes, and off-white shades
- Pastel Purple: for a lavender shade, combine it with other hues of purple or earthy tones such as greens and blues
- Pastel Green: with your mint shade, style with darker green tones like amethyst and emerald, or, opt for your neutrals
- Pastel Red: go for champagne tones and light pinks, or keep it classic with white and ivory tones
- Pastel Pink: a baby pink shade is a go-to for summer. Style with light browns and beiges, or light blues and darker greens
We’ve picked out some of our favourite pastel pieces from our latest summer collection. Go on, take a look and get adding to your cart.
An example of a perfectly versatile pastel staple. This mint green rib basic dress is perfect for everything from running errands during the day to looking stylish at a beach bar. If you want a casual look, opt for a linen shirt unbuttoned over the top with white sneakers. For an evening look, pop on nude heels and go for statement gold hoop earrings.
Radiate warmth and good vibes with a sweet pastel yellow. Bright without being too in your face, it’s the perfect option when it comes to summer styling. Pair this halter neck top with white linen pants for a subtle dose of colour. Finish with tan mules and rectangle sunnies.
Why just opt for one shade? We’re loving abstract prints this season and this shirred bandeu top is a perfect example. With swirls of pastel purple and blue, an injection of a brighter orange just brings it all together. Style with the matching maxi skirt or opt for a neutral linen skirt.
It doesn’t get much more feminine and elegant than this. In a stunning baby blue, this tiered midi dress has the perfect balance between sophisticated and sultry. The backless moment is a perfect design element that complements the puff sleeves and relaxed silhouette. Style with white strappy heels for a more fancier occasion.
We can’t have an article all about pastels without including one of the favourites, a stunning blush pink. Feminine and cute, we love this shade in more cottage core designs. Think puff sleeves and gingham! This check shirred top is the perfect summer piece. Style it with dusty pink linen pants for a tonal moment.
